SWIMMING IS FUN … BATHS AREN’T

Alum Creek Dog Park is a popular place for our 4-legged friends on a hot summer day. There are two large fenced areas – one for bigger dogs and one for the little yappers – where they can run, play and sniff similar sized friends. A third fenced section has access to a beach on the Alum Creek Reservoir. Flotation devices provide a barrier to keep the dogs from straying too far. However, when I’ve been there, most dogs stay close to shore near their humans. Little dogs may find the waves (from speed boats) to be too strong for them so use caution. To reach the park, go north on Old State Rd to Hollenback, then go east on Hollenback till you see the big park sign. Read Elaine’s post on Alum Creek Park.
