DOWNTOWN DUBLIN IS CHARMING

Dublin 017

The downtown of Dublin has been renovated, spruced up, and its many shops are charming. Some of the quaint restaurants have patio/sidewalk dining available when the weather permits. The heart of the old downtown area is located at the intersections of Rt 161 and Rt 745. Rt 161 is also called Dublin-Granville Rd or Bridge St, running east/west. Rt 745 is locally called Dublin Rd, and it travels north/south.

The downtown portion of Dublin is only a small part of what locals consider “Dublin”. Much of the other large part of Dublin is fairly new with plenty of shopping. Dublin is considered an “upscale” suburb to Columbus with easy access to I-270 and plenty of benefits to its residents from a rec center to two luxury golf developments. Muirfield is the oldest, built by Jack Nicklaus with two golf courses – one being a PGA course. Tartan Fields is newer, developed by Arnold Palmer, with one course. It’s located just north of Muirfield.
