butterfly on sedum

It’s that time of year when the sedums are starting to bloom. They are always covered with bees harvesting the nectar for the winter hives, but this year is the first time I’ve noticed these butterflies. I noticed about five flitting around as I tried to get close enough to one for a photo. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a butterfly with these markings so I’m not sure what it is.
