CARING FOR OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS IN WINTER

Bird feeder in winter

There are times when it’s good to be inside. It’s darn cold! The birds have been active at the feeder which I try to keep filled. This year I’ve had a greater variety with Juncos, titmice, and chickadees visiting along with the cardinals, doves, finches and sparrows that normally visit. A hawk has started stopping by as it tries to capture the small birds. I’ve tried to take its picture, but its eyesight is too good and he can see me inside. … and it just swooped down as I was writing this. I hope it doesn’t view The Murph as a possible dinner.
